After the wedding in Pokhara, Nepal, Casey and I were hoping to go trekking in Jomson. The rain stopped us from doing this, as every flight was cancelled and it was too dangerous to drive due to landslides. I looked at Casey and said “maybe we should go to Thailand…” only halfway joking. He got excited about that idea, so we spent the next few hours looking up the cheapest places to escape to from Nepal. Just a few hours later, we were on an 8+ hour jeep ride back to Kathmandu to catch a plane to Malaysia.
